Fishin' Prints was founded in 2024 from our love for fishing, the ocean, and the memories made on the water. As lifelong anglers, we know that every catch has a story, and we wanted to create a way to preserve those moments in a truly special and artistic way.
Kendyl grew up offshore in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, where fishing was a family tradition passed down through generations. Zach, coming from a military family, found ways to fish wherever he lived, deepening his appreciation for different fishing experiences across the country. We met in college as athletes, but it was our shared love for the water that truly connected us.
Through Fishin' Prints, we’ve combined our passion for fishing and creativity to bring you a unique way to capture the thrill of your catch. Using the traditional Japanese art of Gyotaku, our kits make it easy to turn your fish into a one-of-a-kind print, preserving every detail and memory for years to come.
We’re excited to share this tradition with you and to build a community of anglers who appreciate the beauty of fishing as much as we do. Thank you for being part of the journey. Tight lines, happy printing, and of course, REMEMBER THE CATCH!
ABOUT ZACH ABOUT KENDYL
Zach comes from a military family that has called many places across the U.S. home. From the beautiful Emerald Coast of Destin, Florida to the cool, crystal clear waters of the Kenai River all the way up in Alaska. No matter where he lived, he always found a way to fish, adapting to different waters and learning new techniques along the way. His experiences shaped a deep love for fishing in all its forms, walleye fishing in the Great Lakes, stalking the flats in Destin for slot reds, fly fishin’ streams and ponds in Virginia, fishin’ lakes from a John boat with his dad and grandpa in the upper peninsula of Michigan, and deep-sea adventures off the coast of New Smyrna with Kendyl and her family are only a few of the highlights.
For Kendyl, fishin’ isn’t just a pastime, it’s in her blood. Born and raised in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, as a 6th-generation Floridian, she grew up offshore, learning the art of fishing from her dad and grandfather. Those countless hours on the water instilled in her a deep respect for the ocean and the traditions that come with it. This only made her more sure she wanted to continue her maritime legacy. Kendyl started off using Gyotaku to create prints of her memories with her family. This soon grew to her making prints for friends and fisherman looking to never forget this catch. This then inspired them to expand this art by producing kits for fisherman of all experience levels, allowing everyone to be able to remember their catches.
Zach and Kendyl met in college as collegiate baseball and volleyball athletes, drawn together by their love for the water—and eventually, for each other. Their shared passion for the ocean inspired them to build a life around it, leading them to create Fishin’ Prints. They wanted a way to preserve the excitement of every great catch, beyond just a memory or a photo. That’s why they turned to printing fish to help fellow anglers transform their catches into lasting works of art.
Fishing isn’t just about the fish for us, it’s about the experiences, the connections with nature, and the relationships you develop through it. Whether it’s a quiet morning on the water or a big fishing adventure with friends, we believe in celebrating those moments and preserving them in a personal way. Our kits are designed to make it easy for anyone to create their own fishin’ prints wherever you may be; at home, on the dock, on the boat, etc.
At Fishin’ Prints, we’re more than just a business. We’re a community of passionate fishermen and artists, connected by our love of the outdoors. Join us in capturing the beauty of your catches and memories that will remind you of your most unforgettable fishing experiences. We’d love to help you Remember The Catch.
